If you’re a network marketer then you are probably very familiar with what I am about to write about. Do you that most network marketers go through a stage of self doubt? A stage where they have been working so hard that they don’t seem to be getting the results they want and they wonder if all there hard work is going to pay off? A stage where they begin to wonder if what their spending all their time on is actually a waste of time? A stage where they wonder how in the world could a new person they sign up ever duplicate what they have done?

You know at the end of the day this is the MLM business scenario – you have a lead, you direct them to a website or a presentation or a 24 hour call, you follow up with that lead and either sign up or not. Simple. 4 steps easy.

1.Send lead to info
2.Follow up with lead
3.Either sign lead up or not
4.Rinse and repeat with new sign up

Most companies operate this way – and it is an extremely duplicable system to work with. It is one that you can teach anyone. What you cannot teach a new person though is how to market their new business. Yes you can give them ideas on how to – but you need to remember this – it is not your job to teach the new person in your company how to market their business, yes it is your job to show them the options on how to generate their own leads but ultimately it is up to them on how to generate their own leads.

But you cannot expect someone to generate leads or build their business just as you have. Yes they will use the same duplicable system once they have leads – but how they get the leads is not your problem. Do not put unrealistic expectations on yourself that you have to teach your new business partner to generate leads exactly the way you have.

Never forget this – the new person you bring in is different to you – regardless of whether you know them personally or not. The may find things a lot easier than you, they may prefer to work offline, they may have a much larger network than you, they bring to the table a whole lot of new skills that you may or may not have.

The message here is to not be so hard on yourself if you feel like your getting nowhere. Remember that how you market your business does not mean the next person has to market it the same way. So if your at a stage where you are trying to generate your own leads don’t feel like what your doing has to be duplicable for the person you bring in – because it doesn’t.

Don’t be so hard on yourself – success will come, as long as you accept that the duplication part of the business is the 4 steps above, and NOT in the way you generate leads.

Never Give Up – Success Comes With Taking Risk

This is something we can all learn from – no matter what tries to keep us down just keep believing in yourself and pushing forward.  Failure only makes us stronger and more successful – so the more we do it the better we will become

We love using Facebook as one of our strategies in our network marketing business. We are gaining a really good following and meeting loads of people from all over the world. Now most people who we have networked with us really have some very valuable information and tips that they convey through their messages and posts.

BUT there is one thing that really annoys us and that is this – we receive on a daily basis at least 20 – 30 messages in our Facebook inbox about the newest and latest greatest wiz bang company that is going to make us rich!! Im not sure how others feel about this but it annoys the heck out of us (Liz in particular!)!!! The worst ones are the ones that actually ask to be your friend and also include a message with there request blatantly advertising their business.

Now I am all for looking at what others are doing and learning especially if I feel that what they have to offer is new to me or something that any of my readers could learn from – but when people push their company I just turn the other way. Some of these people are probably great people – but they aren’t doing a whole lot to build relationships or even really networking.

In fact I’m sure they would be attracting the wrong kinds of people to them if this is the tactic they use. Anyway this is just a rant for today because I get so sick of reading these messages and posts over and over again – what do all you guys think?

So please Facebook friends (and you know who you are!) stop sending these messages!!! And learn the real strategy behind networking on this fabulous social site

Currently I am part of a very successful internet network marketing training system. Now I am not here to plug that system – actually it’s more that I am here to encourage people in particular those new to the industry that whatever kind of business online you are a part of – you must have a system to follow, one where you will actually listen to what you are told, and one where you actually follow the instructions.

Now I am going to use as an example the system I use. It is a well automated one where everything is set out step by step and in most cases demonstrated via webinars and video (by people ‘Masters’ who have implemented exactly what they are teaching) – so there is really no going wrong with it. Leads, prospects call them what you will. But they are a vital component of any one entering into the world of MLM – offline or online. Without leads or prospects you have no business, you have no one to bring your opportunity to or your products. Now depending on whether or not you have ‘targeted’ leads as opposed to ‘untargeted’ leads – will also have an impact on your business.  So what’s the difference? This is the difference.

Targeted Leads are leads or prospects that are actively seeking what you have to offer. They are interested in what you know and have an understanding of it and what it involves. Prospects who are targeted are ones who are ready to join you – let’s use the example of MLM. A targeted MLM prospect is someone who is actively seeking a business opportunity; they are actively wanting/seeking information on this topic.
