Do You Know That Most Network Marketers Go Through a Stage of Self Doubt?

If you’re a network marketer then you are probably very familiar with what I am about to write about. Do you that most involved with network marketing go through a stage of self doubt? A stage where they have been working so hard that they don’t seem to be getting the results they want and they wonder if all there hard work is going to pay off? A stage where they begin to wonder if what their spending all their time on is actually a waste of time? A stage where they wonder how in the world could a new person they sign up ever duplicate what they have done?
You know at the end of the day this is the MLM business scenario – you have a lead, you direct them to a website or a presentation or a 24 hour call, you follow up with that lead and either sign up or not. Simple. 4 steps easy.
1.Send lead to info
2.Follow up with lead
3.Either sign lead up or not
4.Rinse and repeat with new sign up
Most companies operate this way – and it is an extremely duplicable system to work with. It is one that you can teach anyone. What you cannot teach a new person though is how to market their new business. Yes you can give them ideas on how to – but you need to remember this – it is not your job to teach the new person in your company how to market their business, yes it is your job to show them the options on how to generate their own leads but ultimately it is up to them on how to generate their own leads.
But you cannot expect someone to generate leads or build their business just as you have. Yes they will use the same duplicable system once they have leads – but how they get the leads is not your problem. Do not put unrealistic expectations on yourself that you have to teach your new business partner to generate leads exactly the way you have.
Never forget this – the new person you bring in is different to you – regardless of whether you know them personally or not. The may find things a lot easier than you, they may prefer to work offline, they may have a much larger network than you, they bring to the table a whole lot of new skills that you may or may not have.
The message here is to not be so hard on yourself if you feel like your getting nowhere. Remember that how you market your business does not mean the next person has to market it the same way. So if your at a stage where you are trying to generate your own leads don’t feel like what your doing has to be duplicable for the person you bring in – because it doesn’t.
Don’t be so hard on yourself – success will come, as long as you accept that the duplication part of the business is the 4 steps above, and NOT in the way you generate leads.
